          Even Though Bangkok is already known as one of the most traffic cities, it is still possible to find the place for relaxing yourself under the tree shade.    Lumpini park

            Lumpini Park was named after “Lumbini”, the birthplace of the Buddha in Nepal. The park was created by King Rama VI in the 1920s. Once this place was a museum displaying products and natural resources.  Lumpini park was the Japanese Army camp during the WWI. After That, the park was renovated and opened as the first Bangkok public park. At that time, the park was in the suburb. Nowadays it is the heart of business area of Lumpini sub-district, Pathumwan district, the main central business district of Bangkok.

           It is the huge public multi-purpose park with the estimated space of 142 acre and an artificial lake inside. Bird watching instruction is available annually here. It is home for more than 30 species birds.

It offers sports activities and sports equipment for members.
Sports activities including soccer, swimming, basketball, and dancing.

Opening hour: 06.00 p.m.- 08.00 p.m. on weekdays./ 10.00 a.m.- 6.00 p.m. on weekends

Swan paddle boats can be rented at a lake for 40 baht per half an hour.
